Pomarkku is a lively cottage municipality, with a population of 2000-3000 people in the summer and 300-500 people in the winter. There are approximately 900 cottage properties in Pomarkku. In addition to the flowing Karvianjoki River, Isojärvi and Valkjärvi offer a place by the water. Both lakes offer various leisure opportunities both in summer and winter. We can thank the associations that operate on volunteers for the clean beaches. In addition to the cottages near the water bodies, Pomarkku has several dry land cottages and villas around the municipality.

The fire station's water hydrant/tap (at Palokuja 1/at the end of the fire station) is only available for collecting drinking water in water canisters.
An electric car charging point equipped with AC charging devices has been installed in connection with the multi-purpose hall (Harjantie 1). The charging devices can be used with the Plugit application or with a charging tag (RFID) linked to the application's user account.

Lake Valkjärvi is located in the municipalities of Pomarkku and Siikainen. The border between the municipalities divides it in two, leaving the southern shore on the Pomarkku side. The lake has an area of 335 ha and a coastline of 18 km. What makes the lake special is its cleanliness and clear water, which is due to the springs at its bottom. The lake is a great setting for outdoor activities and water sports such as swimming and fishing. On Valkjärvi, on the island of Latokari, there is the Isokallio lean-to owned by the municipality, which can be reached by boat in summer and by ice in winter.
The Clean Valkjärvi Association was founded in 2002 to ensure the protection, cleanliness and comfort of the lake. The association has invested in several projects to improve the condition of the lake. The association works in cooperation with other groups operating in Valkjärvi, such as the Valkjärvi Water Cooperative. As part of the improvement measures, the association has, among other things, mowed aquatic plants through volunteer work. Isojärvi is the largest lake in northern Satakunta and is located in the municipalities of Pomarkku and Siikainen. The lake has an area of 39,4 km2. Isojärvi is connected to five different rivers and there are several cottages on its shores, the oldest of which were built in the 1930s. There are several islands in Isojärvi, which have picnic areas and the municipality-owned Kerimanni. The distance to the lake from the center of Pomarkku is approximately 2,5 kilometers.
The Isojärvi Society was founded in 1969 to ensure the protection and enjoyment of the lake. Through its activities, the association has developed, among other things, the lake's boating and hiking opportunities, fishing and safety. The Isojärvi Lake Rescue Association is a member of the Finnish Marine Rescue Society and was founded in 2011. The association's main task is to carry out rescue and assistance tasks on Isojärvi together with the authorities. In addition, the association participates in events in the lake area and performs various service tasks. The association's base is located in Kiiholma.
