Our library is a place where you can borrow experiences directly to your home or dive deep into the world of e-materials (books, audiobooks and films).
In our library, a reading circle and storytimes invite people of all ages to explore the world of words. The digitization service is currently unavailable, but we will inform you as soon as photos, slides and negatives can be edited and saved in digital format again. Our spaces are open for studying, community activities, whether it's remote work or a board game time with friends. Come and experience our library's live events and diverse exhibitions.

Cineast
Through the Cineast film library, you can watch films for free online and on mobile. To use the service, all you need is a Satakirjasto library card and PIN code.
As a customer of Satakirjasto, you can borrow five films per month. The loan limits are reset on the first day of each month.
E-library
The e-library is a joint service between municipalities, where you can borrow e-books, audiobooks and digital magazines. The library is used with the e-library application, which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet from the app store.
A library card is not required, but registration for the E-library service is done with strong authentication. If the customer does not have strong authentication, they can come and register at the library. An ID card is required for registration at the library. and email address.
The e-library will include materials in Finnish, Swedish and English, and some in other languages. E- and audio books can be borrowed for two weeks, after which the book will be returned automatically. You can also return the book yourself before the end of the loan period. You can read the magazine for two hours at a time.
There are a limited number of reading rights, so you may have to wait in line for the most popular materials. However, you can still make reservations for e-books and audiobooks as usual. More materials are being acquired continuously, so new things to read and listen to are available every week.
The e-library can be used by those whose home municipality has joined the e-library. All municipalities in Satakunta have joined the e-library. The service is produced by the National Library in cooperation with public libraries. Working groups consisting of public library employees are responsible for material acquisitions and the appearance of the application's home page, and plan user training and communications.

The loan period for magazines is 2 weeks. The latest issue of magazines is not loaned.

Description of the library's exhibition spaces
Our library has a multifunctional space of approximately 50 m², which serves as an exhibition space, a newspaper reading room and an event space. The space is located near the library entrance in a central and visible location. It is easily accessible. The space has large windows that bring in plenty of natural light and increase the space's spaciousness.
The space has hanging rails along the entire wall length, where paintings and other hanging works can be attached. Hanging hooks (max. 15 kg/hook) and 2 mm fishing lines are available. There are three lockable display cases for small objects for exhibition use. The dimensions of the display cases are W. 57 cm, D. 47 cm and H. 150 cm. The maximum load per shelf is 10 kg. In addition, there are four movable screens, tables, smaller side tables and two easels. The space can be adapted to different exhibition needs.
The youth section has a separate wall exhibition area (2 x approximately 4 mx 1 m) with hanging rails and magnetic rails for paper-based works. Small-scale exhibitions can also be held in other library spaces without a separate booking calendar.
Lighting and accessibility
The space has general lighting. The display cases have separate lighting. The library premises are barrier-free.
Exhibition hours and booking policies
The exhibition space is reserved for one month at a time. The exhibition months are 02, 03, 04, 05, 06–07, 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12–01.
The space must be booked well in advance, several months in advance. The booking calendar is filled far in advance.

All of our exhibition spaces are free of charge.
Responsibilities and practices
The exhibition organizer is responsible for the insurance, transportation, hanging and dismantling of the works. The library will provide instructions on how to use the space if necessary. A-ladders and small tools are available.
The library functions as a low-threshold exhibition space and reaches a wide audience of visitors from different age groups.
Cooperation
We are happy to collaborate with other actors, associations and art museums. We are open to touring exhibitions, joint projects and regional cooperation.
Pomarkku Library has a workspace called Luova, which is particularly suitable for casual and flexible working. Luova is an open workspace with four workstations at the same table and one fixed computer.
No reservation is required to use the space. During self-service hours, the library can be accessed with a Satakirjasto library card. The library also has printing and scanning facilities.
The self-service library is Pomarkku's way of serving its customers flexibly and conveniently. During self-service hours, you can borrow and return materials, pick up your own reservations, read magazines, study, work and relax.
The self-service library is open every day from 7 am to 21 pm. During self-service hours, services that require staff are not available in the library. Staff offers personal service and support on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 17 pm, Wednesdays from 10 am to 18 pm and Fridays from 10 am to 14 pm.
Logging in to the self-service library is easy with a library card and personal identification number (PIN code). The PIN code can be obtained from the library during service hours. Users must ensure that no other persons enter the library through the open door. The guarantor of a library card holder under the age of 15 is responsible for the use of the self-service library and any possible misuse. Guardians have the option of denying their dependents the right to use the self-service library. Uniform fees for the Hundred Library In addition, the current fees and practices of the Pomarkku Municipal Library:
- Remote service subscription fees: €8/order when ordering from Finland, €15/order when ordering from the Nordic countries, €30/order when ordering from elsewhere. Remember that the subscription fee is non-refundable, even if the material is not received or the subscription is cancelled.
- Copies will also be subject to a fee charged by the sending library.
- Paper photocopies and prints: Black and white €0,40 / A4 page. Copying and scanning are self-service.
- Cloth bag: €1 / bag.
- Depreciation books: €0,5 – €3 / copy.
- Lost or damaged material will be replaced according to the material register price. A broken DVD or other material storage case will be charged 1 € – 4 €.
