Pomarkku School District is looking for a special education teacher for a fixed-term employment contract until June 5, 2027.

We are looking for a special education teacher for the area-based teaching group.

Applicants are expected to have experience in teaching organized by functional area, a broad ability to work with different students, a work approach that actively develops their own expertise and digital skills, and good interaction, collaboration, and team management skills.

The number of hours per week is in accordance with the teaching obligation (22 hours per year).

The salary is according to OVTES.

As an early childhood education teacher, you are responsible for planning and implementing the pedagogical activities of your group. You also act as a team leader. In your work, you guide your team with a positive approach to developing and evaluating pedagogy and activities. An important part of your work is cooperation with families. In cooperation with other early childhood education workers, you ensure that the child's high-quality early childhood education is implemented every day.

We expect the applicant to have a strong pedagogical approach, warm interaction with children and caregivers, and good interpersonal skills. We value initiative and flexibility, as well as a positive attitude towards work.

The eligibility requirements for the position of an early childhood education teacher are, according to Section 26 of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018:
A Bachelor of Education degree, which includes studies providing professional qualifications for early childhood education tasks, which may be regulated in more detail by Government Decree, or which has been supplemented with the aforementioned studies. In addition, applicants who comply with the transitional provisions of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018 concerning personnel meet the eligibility criteria.

The salary is determined according to OVTES (450044A1 2809,37€), a six (6) month probationary period will be observed in fulfilling the position. The selected candidate must submit the criminal record extract required under Act 504/2022 on the investigation of the criminal background of those who rob with children, as well as the health certificate required for permanent employment, no later than 30 days after receiving notification of the selection decision.
