Children under the age of 7 can receive early childhood education organized by the municipality.
The aim of early childhood education is to support the child's growth, development and learning and to promote their well-being. An early childhood education plan is made for each child. Municipal daycare can be either full-time (maximum 10 hours/day) or part-time. Parents must apply for a daycare place for their child no later than four months before the start of early childhood education. Early childhood education is subject to a fee.

Once your child has been granted a place in early childhood education, preschool or family daycare, please contact your child's future group and arrange for introductory visits before starting.
The customer fee charged for early childhood education is determined by the family size and income, as well as the selected care time category.
The fee charged for early childhood education takes into account the taxable earned and capital income and tax-exempt income of the child, his or her parents or other guardian, and the person living with them in a joint household in a marriage or cohabitation.
The customer fee is invoiced as a monthly fee for a maximum of eleven (11) calendar months in the operating year (1.8 August - 31.7 July). If the child's care begins in August and lasts the entire operating year, July is free of charge. By decision of the Education and Training Board, June may also be free of charge.
Regarding customer fees, the highest fee charged is 335 euros. The lowest fee charged is 32 euros.
If the family size is larger than six people, the income limit on which the payment is based is increased by 295 euros for each additional minor child in the family.
If the income is less than the minimum gross income limit or if the fee is less than €32 per child, no fee is charged.
Payment calculation formula: gross family income – income limit x 10,7%
When determining the fee for the second or more children in a family, the basis for the determination is the calculated full-time early childhood education fee of the youngest child. The fee for the next child in order of age is 40% of the fee for the first child. The fees for subsequent children are 20% of the fee for the youngest child.
The payment amount will be rounded to the nearest euro.

Pomarkku early childhood education uses a three-tiered support system. It includes three different levels of support: general support, enhanced support, and special support.
General support
All children entering early childhood education are covered by general support. General support consists of individual forms of support and is mainly implemented in the child's own children's group, as part of the basic activities of early childhood education.
Enhanced support
If general support is not enough or the child needs stronger support, support must be provided in the form of enhanced support. It consists of several forms of support that are implemented regularly and simultaneously.
Special support
If general or enhanced support is not sufficient or the child needs support due to a disability, illness, developmental delay or other need for learning or developmental support that significantly reduces their ability to function, the child will receive individually planned special support. It consists of several forms of support and is continuous and full-time.
Forms of support are designed to meet the individual needs of each child and can be either structural, therapeutic or pedagogical in nature.
Support is planned in collaboration with guardians.
What is Daisy Family? With the Daisy Family program, guardians book, among other things, child care appointments. Daisy also serves as the official communication channel for Kivisilla Day Care, Family Day Care, and guardians. Daisy also records, for example, the child's early childhood education or preschool curriculum and current weekly bulletins.

The Early Childhood Education Data Repository (Varda) contains information on early childhood education nationwide. Early childhood education providers, i.e. municipalities, joint municipal authorities and private early childhood education service providers, store the following information in Varda:
- early childhood education providers and locations
- children in early childhood education and their guardians
- early childhood education fees
- early childhood education personnel
Each registered person has the right to view the information stored about them in Varda. Children's information can also be viewed by their guardians. The standardized, comparable and high-quality information stored in the early childhood education database is used in particular by various authorities in their tasks.
They can utilize the information stored in the data repository in their operations.
- national authorities, such as Kela and the Ministry of Education and Culture
- regional authorities, such as Regional State Administrative Agencies
- municipalities and joint municipal authorities
The database is used to promote the development and decision-making of early childhood education, collect statistics and research early childhood education, and perform official duties.
Varda's data is also used by researchers in research on early childhood education.
The Finnish National Board of Education is responsible for the maintenance and management of the database, the Ministry of Education and Culture. The database is regulated in the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). The Finnish National Board of Education issues regulations and instructions to early childhood education operators regarding maintenance tasks and is responsible for releasing the database data for their use.
