The best home
Kivisillan daycare is a new daycare building completed in 2023. Kivisillan daycare operates four groups of children, called Vauhtiveikot, Vipeltäjät, Nopsajalat and Touhutossut. We offer full-time early childhood education and preschool, as well as shift care if necessary due to the work or study of the caregivers.
The daycare center is located next to the elementary school, at Lammintie 2, Pomarkku.
The Kivisilta kindergarten facilities and the surrounding area offer diverse learning opportunities for all children. We use the school gym and the Pomarkku multi-purpose hall within walking distance, which offer many opportunities for inspiring exercise. Our yard is diverse and there are forests in the surrounding area, which we utilize in our activities.
The aim of early childhood education is to support the growth, development and learning of children and to promote their well-being. An early childhood education plan is prepared annually for each child and a preschool curriculum for preschoolers. The focus of our activities is on emotional skills, the development of play, and the development of multidisciplinary cooperation and cooperation with parents.
The municipality of Pomarkku organizes high-quality early childhood education and preschool education in collaboration with parents – taking into account the individual needs of the family and the child.

The daycare is open from 6.30:17 a.m. to XNUMX p.m. We also offer XNUMX-hour care due to the guardian's work or studies.
Each group has its own daily structure, which the staff builds to meet the needs of the children. The daily structure is guided by the times of meals. During the day at the daycare center, the child is served breakfast at 8-8.30:11, lunch at 14 and a snack at XNUMX. In addition to meals, the daycare center day includes outdoor activities, rest time, play and guided activities, the goals of which arise from the learning areas of the early childhood education plan.
Your child needs to bring the following things to kindergarten:

Bringing/picking up a child
Children who arrive before 7.30:XNUMX a.m. enter the daycare center through the Touhutossuji and Vipeltäji doors. The guardian will take the child's belongings to the hallway of their group, to the child's own coat rack. After this, the guardian will take the child to the Touhutossuji group space.
Children who come to daycare after 7.30:XNUMX a.m. enter the daycare through their group door and, together with their guardian, take their belongings to their own coat rack. The guardian will escort the child to the group room.
We ask that guardians wear disposable slippers to protect their outdoor shoes or take off their outdoor shoes when bringing their child into the hallway and group rooms.
In the afternoon, when the child is picked up, the group staff will tell you about the child's day.

Illness/accident
If your child is sick, they should be kept at home. We recommend returning to daycare after one symptom-free day or until they are feeling well.
If a child needs care at daycare because the guardian or siblings are ill or on the guardian's day off, we recommend that the care time be between 8 am and 15 pm.
If a child is diagnosed with, for example, roundworms, lice or some other highly contagious disease, it would be important to inform the daycare center or their own group. We will then increase cleaning and inform other families about the risk of parasites or infection in a data-protected and confidential manner.
Children are insured during the day at daycare. In case of any accidents, we will file an accident report.
Medical
Any medication given should always be administered primarily at home. The daycare center can only administer medication prescribed by a doctor, and the prescription must be presented to the daycare center. The child's medication treatment is always based on the child's individual medication treatment plan.
