Early childhood education

Children under the age of 7 can receive early childhood education organized by the municipality. In Pomarkku, early childhood education is provided by the Kivisilta kindergarten and three family daycare providers.

The aim of early childhood education is to support the child's growth, development and learning and to promote their well-being. An early childhood education plan is made for each child. Municipal daycare can be either full-time (maximum 10 hours/day) or part-time. Parents must apply for a daycare place for their child no later than four months before the start of early childhood education. Early childhood education is subject to a fee.
